What are people saying about Air Comfort Solutions?

Thanks to the efforts of a local teacher and business, a Del City family now has heat. It all started when one of special education teacher Pam Schalk’s students told her before the holidays that her family had no heat.
After the break, Schalk’s classroom didn’t have heat one morning due ot the ice storm, so she brought in an electric space heater. Schalk told her students they could share time sitting in front of the heater.
Schalk noticed 13-year-old Susan. When she felt the child’s hands, they were “ice cold”. When Schalk told the girl she could sit in front of the heater, the girl said, “It’s OK. I’m used to being without heat.”
That broke the teacher’s heart, so she decided to do something about it.
Schalk picked up the Yellow Pages and saw an advertisement that read, “Where family comes first”. She called the business, Air Comfort Solutions, and they moved into action.
The Smith family, which lives on Huddleston Drive, got a new furnace installed for free on Wednesday. The family is purchasing the home and has lived there for six months. They’ve been without heat for a month and a half, said Dolores Smith.
“We were saving for the funds (to buy a new furnace). Oh, I’m so blessed and elated. My service will go with them,” she said of the heating and cooling business.
Air Comfort Solutions is located at 6800 Pat Ave. in southeast OKC just north of Interstate 240. An Air Comfort Solutions representative said the new furnace would cost at least $1,800 installed.
“God laid it on my heart that I had to act in this matter,” said Schalk, now in her ninth year teaching at Kerr Junior High.
The Smith family is glad she did.
